A Change in Frequency

Dear Reader,

Over the past many months (since November 6th, 2024), it has been an absolute joy to write this newsletter every two weeks. Writing this newsletter has led me to discover my passion for journalism (an avenue I will be exploring at the University of Minnesota this fall) and has been an outlet for me to share with you some of the things I am most passionate about in our world.

Since the advent of this newsletter, every free moment I’ve had has been dedicated to creating the next issue of The Leaflet. I’ve loved every minute of it.

But, as I transition away from my structured and predictable high school schedule, I face many uncertainties. Many of those uncertainties deal with time. I do not know how my schedule will look next year, or even in the summer. I am also faced with the loss of many incredible resources Creighton Prep provides me that I use to make this newsletter, such as Adobe Suite products.

It is for this reason that I have made the decision to produce the main issue of this newsletter every month. A new issue will come out on the first Wednesday of every month. Doing so will allow me to ensure that I have the time to create a polished issue and may also give me more time to focus on expanding the newsletter to a wider audience. Don’t be surprised if you see an email from us in between issues, however. Considering how rapidly our world is changing, we may cover current events and breaking news in The Leaflet as these events happen.

My passion for environmental justice has only been burning more brightly in the past few months, and it pains me to take a step back from this newsletter. But, after careful consideration, I have determined this is the best course of action.

I would like to thank you for subscribing as well. Your support and continued comments about how you enjoy my newsletter have truly been an incredible source of motivation. I cannot express my gratitude for each subscriber enough. This newsletter is a dream come true.

Our next issue will come out on May 7th, 2025.
