Shared Resources

The three tenets of sustainability are reduce, reuse and recycle. The most important of the three is reducing—not using the resource (or as much of it) in the first place. But what if we can’t not use a resource to begin with? Then, we’ll try to reuse it once we are finished with it.

Perhaps the most important resource that is pertinent and fleeting for us all is time. Time to do what we want to do and time for what we need to do. One thing that we, at The Leaflet, have spent a lot of time doing in the past year is creating resources that are aimed to deliver climate news and general information in an easy and approachable format—this newsletter being one of them.

But, we’ve also recognized that a newsletter isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, a newsletter isn’t effective unless someone reads it. So, we began to “branch out” and create more resources for educating the public about the environment. Some of those include presentations, recycling guides, and general research and important contacts. This article is aimed at giving these resources to you, the reader, so that we can reuse these resources and reduce the time you may spend creating different versions of what we’ve already done.

Attached is a Google Drive. In it you will find recycling guides, compost guides, meeting slideshows and slideshows about how to be sustainable. Most of these resources were created in the 2024-2025 school year for the Creighton Prep Sustainability Club. Every time we update this drive we will send out a new short article explaining what the resource is and such. In the meantime, if you need to find the Google Drive, search “shared resources” into the search bar at the top of our website.

We hope that this resource can help you be more sustainable and save you time in the process. We’re excited to see the many ways that you may use these resources in the future.
